Nordvpn is a SCAM

I signed up for the free one week trial.  I was not informed that the trial would automatically roll over into a paid subscription - not by Paypal, and not by Norvpn.  Nordvpn claims that it is in their terms of agreement, but it is NOT.  The vpn never worked, and I decided to let the trial lapse. After the trial ended, I was charged $11.95 for a month's subscription. And then I got a lovely $35 bank overdraft charge.

Nordvpn also claims that the information is on the free trial page. Yeah, it is - in the FAQ section.  Does the FAQ section qualify as a "term of agreement"?  NO!

So on the Nordvpn free trial page, under the title:

Start your free trial now

 They have this box:

Is there anything there about the free trial rolling over into an automatic subscription? NO!

Here's the section on payments:

Payments

NordVPN Services are subscribed on a service period basis. You choose the service period and the payment method yourself when you sign up for the NordVPN Services. The NordVPN app for any platform or operating system supported by NordVPN can be downloaded free of charge. Users will have to purchase a paid subscription from NordVPN to connect to the NordVPN Service, except in the case of a limited free trial or certain coupon offers.

Your service will automatically be renewed and your chosen payment method will be charged at the end of each service period, repeating the length of the previous service period, unless you decide to cancel your subscription for the NordVPN Services.

There is nothing here about the free trial rolling over into a paid subscription automatically.  It even gives the impression that the limited free trial is an exception to their requirement of purchasing a paid subscription.  I signed up for the trial, they took my payment info, and BAM! $35 bank overdraft charge. Nordvpn promotes itself all over the internet as one of the very top of the best vpn companies, but I recommend you avoid them like the plague!
